Factory Direct – The Locarta system is manufactured at Locarta Technologies, Inc. You deal directly with Locarta for sales, service, and support.
Non-Hosted – The system is software-based. This means that there are no monthly fees from Locarta, just the monthly fee from your communications provider (Cingular or T-Mobile). It also means that you have all of your vehicles’ location data on your own computer, not on someone else’s (no “Big Brother”) so the information remains private.
Total Fees per Month – As listed above, Locarta does not charge ANYTHING monthly. Your average communications fees from Cingular or T-Mobile will run anywhere from $11.99 to $19.99.
Mapping Display – The Locarta Dashboard uses Microsoft MapPoint. You view your vehicles in Real-Time on the highest quality maps available. The print quality of the map is outstanding as well. Within the Locarta Dashboard software, you can run a Map Report to see routes directly on the MapPoint map.
Email Alerts – Receive email alerts to your computer or cellular phone based on guidelines you set within the Locarta Dashboard software. These can be based on vehicle speed, “geo-fencing” (where the vehicle goes in and out of a certain designated geographic area), or driving at unauthorized times.
Aerial Photo/Satellite Image Display – In the upcoming version, the Locarta Dashboard software is interfaced with Google Earth to allow you to see your vehicles on the Microsoft MapPoint high quality map and also on an aerial photo or satellite image.
Support – 1 year limited warranty and 30 days technical support are included with your purchase of the Locarta vehicle tracking system.
